This year’s NAMM 2016 show was an unforgettable one for us. Our booth was outside of the piano lounge, making our lighted piano archway a sight to be seen by everyone who passed by.
Stevie Wonder chose to play The ONE Smart Piano, out of all of the pianos in the entire piano hallway. He sat down, played through a few scales and rifts, and declared that the piano was something he would be interested in getting for his daughter. We were blown away! Here are some photos to savor that moment for a long time:
Stevie Wonder wasn’t the only one to take a second glance at our piano. The NAMM committee scouting the venue for the “Best of Teaching Tools” also came across the Smart Piano and declared it the “Best Teaching Tool for K-12 Students”. We are honored and humbled, and will continue to focus on creating the best learning experience for students.
The rest of the NAMM show was a fun time mingling with other music enthusiasts, and we even made friends with other piano players. In the piano lounge, we saw other cool pianos, including this circular-shaped piano.
Some other fun music-learning products we saw include Piano Maestro and Ivoreez. Piano Maestro is an app built for learning with fun characters, game-style lessons, and colorful graphics. We love it! (P.S. The app works with our Smart Piano). Ivoreez is another way to learn piano with colored bands that you put on your fingers and match to keys. They’ve got a full curriculum with fun songs to learn, including some pop hits. That’s it for now! Stay tuned - we’ll be at South by Southwest in Austin this coming March with more updates.
